Visual Jazz win AIMIA Award for Best Retail!

Last Friday night (5th March 2010) we were absolutely stoked to pick up an AIMIA award in the Best Retail category for our work on Holden’s website!

It’s a great result for the whole team – the site was a long time in the making and presented its fair share of challenges along the way so we’re delighted to see it recognised as best in class in the retail category at such a prestigious event. I just saw the Awards Booklet too and see that the judges comment for the site was “An amazing site in all disciplines, very impressive” – obviously a great compliment!

We were nominated for a few awards so a bunch of us went along to the event and we weren’t disappointed – they really put on a show – the finger food was great and the booze flowed suitably freely. Check out the catwalk and gallery – which actually spanned both sides of the runway:

3 of us went up to receive the award – myself, Joan O’Reilly and Bec Williams from Holden – and of course we had no speech prepared so Bec just did some nice thanks being the first one up on the stage. I did shout an enthusiastic go the big australian in my best Aussie accent but after a few beers i don’t think anyone actually heard what i said. Note to self – prep a speech.
