Nexus one confirmed to support Flash Player 10.1

After following what can only be described as a debacle regarding the ubiquitous iPhone and lack of Flash, it’s surprisingly refreshing to see another platform straight out say ‘Yep. It’ll be supported, and not only that, we’ll continue to update the firmware for later releases’.

Granted, the video announcement from Google does leave you with a lot of questions (for one, why did you pick what can only be described as the most woeful Flash game ever to demonstrate?!), but it is really nice to see that Nexus is stepping up to become a real competitor to Apple. Monopolized markets inhibit innovation after all.

Apple, time to get cracking!
